Ithalomso offers onsite waste management services and solutions to businesses in the retail, commerce, and industrial sectors. Our measures are placed to reduce waste going to landfill, building towards a zero waste to landfill by the year 2030 in South Africa. Legislation is urging both waste producers and waste management companies to divert waste from going to landfills. We fully support this call; we offer all consumers and producers alternative means and treat landfill disposal as a last resort.
Our onsite services include sorting of waste according to different categories which are PET, HDPE, LDPE, mixed plastic, wrap plastic, white paper, etc. We have also opened our doors to a drop-off spot for all recyclable items coming from offices, industrial companies, and the public. This will bring the highly anticipated relief on the environment of waste that was directed to the landfill. The recovered recyclable material is handed over to recyclers who manufacture and process this material giving it a new form. Through this method, we can use the Waste Hierarchy approach to minimise, reuse, recycle and disposal being our last resort.
